Brittany + Willie | Vowel Renewal at Heartwood Acres

Willie and Brittany were my first vowel renewal. I can't say I'd never considered having one for myself, but theirs definitely made me want one! There day was beautiful and so is their love for each other. I had the opportunity to get to know them and photograph their couple session before the renewal. They are the best mix between silly and sexy! I loved being their photographer, they made my job easy!

I began their day with some establishing shots of their venue Heartwood Acres followed by the detail shots. Brittany was finishing the final touches on hair. The moment the head piece fell in to place, you could just see the joy and anticipation in Brittany's face. She was so excited about saying, " I do " again and seeing Willie. Brittany was also the mastermind behind the planning and design of her day, so watching everything come together was special. Her best friend and two daughters were there by her side to finalize her look.

It was time for the ceremony! I was so impressed by the coordination of the guests, y'all! Everyone looked so nice in the burnt oranges and browns/neutrals. It was a photographer's dream. Being July in Georgia, it was naturally a warm day, but the weather was otherwise good- no random chances of rain! The sun was setting at the perfect time, the lighting was a great match for their ceremony in regards to direction (another photographer goal). Now, the real MVP is the groom here, Willie. The emotional entrance of Brittany is what every bride is looking for, and he did not disappoint. The best man giving him reassurance. Itt was just beautiful, and I am again, so thankful to be a witness to their love.

Another favorite moment is when the officiant asked them to turn around to take in the moment and take in their guest being there. Such a good idea, and an amazing reminder to slow down and take it all in. I try to remind my couples during their big day to just take in the moment (usually during getting ready) because after, the day goes by in the blink of an eye! Second to that was their daughters coming up to read them a poem. I love when family is involved in the ceremony like this.

After the ceremony came the entrance and first dance. Que the smoke machines, good food and good times ahead! Wishing these two many more happy years of marriage and I hope to be there for all the new endeavors! Cheering you on always!
